Ben is the quintessential 'Jack of all Trades, Master of None'. None of the trades. Not J None.

Never mind...

He tends to be decent at most things he tries, but never really in the top tier of anything. There are two major exceptions:

The first is that he simply cannot sing. (Seriously, his karaoke has been known to clear small Asian countries.) He has often lamented that if he could wish for one talent, it would be to sing. Fun Fact: J None once commented that he felt that Ben had the soul of a singer.

The second exception is that Ben is a very talented story teller. He is adept at keeping people entertained while he is tending bar in Las Vegas, and he spent time on stage as a stand up comedian. (Also, not to brag, but he has tens of people awaiting the next chapters of his various fanfics)

On July 22, 2017, Ben saw a VoicePlay video for the first time. That video was Grim Grinning Ghosts. He became an immediate fan. Then, February 10, 2018, he went to his first live VoicePlay concert. He joined the VoicePlay Patreon the next day.

He has only regretted that he didn't learn of VoicePlay sooner
